I try to read all the publisher's catalogs that cross my desk. On the theme of MySpace and religion, there is a new book out: MySpace as Sacred Space. It makes me think of the wisdom of a good title or name for things; what else could the book have been called? The Good Book and FaceBook?(Note to Bebo and Orkut, it's hard to come up with snappy titles using your names... "Bebo And ... um..." "Orkut and the Orkred"?)

The web is a wonderful tool for community-building, missionizing, and inter- (and intra-)-religious polemic. (Note: the examples aren't meant to wound anyone in particular, plug nearly any faith's name into a search engine and you will find examples of all three.)
