Lost Entry
Listen to this article
Well, I've lost my first entry since starting this weblog. I was writing an extension to my post at the Hall of Fire.net, I had just finished and spell-checked it,
and my computer fainted. (Yes, I've run a check for nasties,
my helper at least impressed that on me: there were none.)
I thought I'd saved a draft but the entry has vanished in the the
aether, eaten by a hyperspace dragon, or some other intermediate denizen./K. removes her mortarboard and keeps a moment of silence
Fortunately, the book chapter I was working on (and the research note about the Bala'izah Gnostic text; even I don't want to have to type that word, again) is fine. I have my priorities, and I am relieved that is safe.
(Today a friend suggested that I should publish more than I blog (they meant it more kindly than it sounds), so perhaps that post would be better off as an essay. (That said, I've now lost a good start to an essay...)
I'll think about it ... and I think I'll write it in longhand, just to be on the safe side.

P.S. More mammoth news.
