I'm including this for the phrase "hieroglyphic typewriter"  (I have to wonder if it was only the hieroglyphs that represented consonants):

(Six of the consonantal hieroglyphs survived as letters in Coptic.  The rest are just the Greek alphabet, honest.  (A bit squiggly, but Greek.))
